Jonathan Browning has been performing and teaching improvisation for over twenty years.  After graduating from Illinois State University with a Theatre degree, he moved to Chicago and was an active company member of The Annoyance Theatre, ComedySportz Chicago and the Midnight Circus.  He also taught and performed traditional theatre and improvisation at dozens of theatres in the city.  After moving to Los Angeles, he was cast in the first UCB LA Harold Team, Robot Doctors and performed regularly at IOWest with SauceBox. He teaches improvisation at The American Musical & Dramatic Academy (A Conservatory College), The Second City Hollywood, Improv for The People and the Los Angeles Unified School District.

He believes that improvisation is an incredibly powerful tool for actors to use across the spectrum of stage and screen and that it has the power to not only make individuals stronger artist in any field, but it also has the ability to free us up and build confidence in our personal lives as well.

Improvisation is an essential skill that every actor should have in his or her toolbox. It is also an invaluable experience for non-actors as well. In a safe and creative environment, Jonathan will lead you in a series of exercises that will support you in feeling more spontaneous, confident and comfortable in your own skin.
